A new day ...

"God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?" -  excerpt from The Madman by Friedrich Neitzsche

Well, Fred, if we must find a new religion, I suggest Love.

Ziggy speaks for me here. Let us pray :-)

Love would be a great one! Apparently your friend with the nonexistent tattoo thought so, too ;)

I think anyone that believes in Love believes in God to some extent. But I am not here to debate religion.

I will accept anyone as long as they believe in love.

Love is not a feeling, but an action.

I believe in the ones who show me that. :)

Best love song ever written, and boy this guy has Pipes.

That is a good song !
I had forgotten how powerful his voice is.
thanks :-)

Senorita, I suppose it's all in the definitions. I don't see much love in god. Maybe if more was there, I could get behind the idea.

RK, my ex was always jealous of Ms Tattoo :-)

Love is the glue that holds the universe together - nothing else.

Hell yeah! That is a hymn I would gladly sing in church!

Thanks for this since as you know my faith has been momentarily broken!

Love is overrated.

There you go disrespecting my religion, Rita.

You atheists are so hateful ;-)

God murdering Socialist, actually. ;]

Rita! Shame on you when I know you love all of God's iddy biddy creatures - worms under the sink etc.

(winks)

God bless you rita! What a fine thing to say.

May you live with Krishna in the Elysian fields along with all others who stand up to the tyranny of love.

Talking. Snuggling. Empathy.

Fie on that I say!

What we need is unprovable metaphysical claims and fear!

... and money.

Judge you!

"Love is a stranger in an open car..."

mac said...

But, not as
Strange as a lover in an open car?

OMG, I feel like a Movie Star.
Harry Bellerophony, "better Elysian then Aleian fields".

rita, I have absolutely no idea what you're on about. I like that in a woman.

In fact, confusion is the best way to start out most relationships. That way the inevitable guilt and shame feel completely natural!

On a less hyperbolic note though, mac is right. It's about time love became a religion. I could use the competition.

Juj u!

@ Harry- if Love were a religion maybe people would convert. I bet it would have less rules/restrictions than Judaism. Maybe I'd join.

"if Love were a religion maybe people would convert. I bet it would have less rules/restrictions than Judaism."

I know. Disgusting isn't it?

It would unburden people, be relatively free from judgment, create harmonious relationships, increase communication and liberty at the same time...

Basically it goes against everything I stand for.

I have attempted a brief explanation of me personal woo on my blog.
