Don't shoot me, but I thought you meant Voltaire as in the philosopher! Never heard of this band. Don't care for Motorhead. I'm just a disagreeable kitty today ;)
I saw a great bumper sticker once: "Religious war: fighting over who has the best imaginary friend."
Well I liked both songs. I'd prefer a mediocre melody with meaningful lyrics than a great hook with drivel.
Oh how I wasted my life on Led Zeppelin.
But your post mac, reminds me of our favorite Scottish atheist, and a lad from his homeland who wrote a cool atheist anthem. Though you might need to be familiar with Scotland to fully understand it.
And if you ever really read what Jesus had to say against RELIGION you would see a great bit of similarity to the lyrics of the first song. listen to this Letter From God. at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYEFkYtANVg
Me Thinks you think too much about the people who think about God. I suggest Non thinking may be your way to the Transcendent way of thinking. Or just smoke a big fattie. ;)

I may be way off here but I think God thinks this song is terrible...LOL!
I think Layne put it best...
"Sure god is all powerful...but does he have lips...what?"

HaHa! I agree with comment 1. Terrible song.
Some people are just stubborn when it comes to their version of God. I don't know why. Selfishness comes to mind.
Now,
Don't say I never gave you anything.
I mean, it's Motorhead for shit's sake!
God supports my position to stop listening to this music and instead enjoy "In Love with your Booty" by John Blu.

That is funny, RK !
I checked that song, Senorita. I have never seen your booty. I can't sing it's praises - yet. If it's like the rest of you, I'm sure I would :-)

Ahh, Harry, there's not many who appreciate genuine Scottish mumbling.
The parts I did understand seemed okay tho'.
Hi Mac - I come here via Senorita's blog. Saw your pic & figured you were pretty cool!
Stop by and see me!
Jimmy
God thinks the Golden Girls are overrated.
Apparently....

I'm just like my Twin, RK. I thought you were starting in about French philosophers!
I like RK's quote.
As for what God thinks, hell if I know, but I have a feeling we won't be hearing these songs in Heaven.
PS - We ARE going to Heaven, aren't we??
Nice blog, lovely thoughts check this site out too for poems and stories :)

mac,
I like what you've done with the place.
I'm curious. How the f did you get your youtube videos that big?
Umm, yeah Harry. The thing is, I don't quite know what made those videos so big. Let's call it a fortunate accident ? Devine intervention?
